Shady job

A routine construction contract turns into a panicked vertical getaway when the body bag you are hauling wakes up and decides it has no intention of being buried. Shady Job frames its black-comedy premise around unfinished skyscrapers, deadly drops, and a crew whose increasingly questionable plan involves pouring concrete over their very active cargo. The tone sits somewhere between slapstick disaster simulator and tense co-op survival challenge, where every narrow ledge can become a mass casualty event. Its grim setup never loses its absurd sense of humor, especially once a simple delivery turns into a fight against a furious bag with a mind of its own.

Players work together to carry the bag upward through hazardous building sites while assembling makeshift routes over the city below. Construction pieces become unstable bridges, ramps, and platforms, while cranes and other machinery help the team reach higher floors or bypass blocked sections. The bag actively struggles, damages scenery, slips free, and can shove workers from exposed edges; rough handling makes it angrier, so brute force is rarely a reliable answer. A Plunger Gun adds a useful physics tool for grabbing surfaces, climbing out of danger, rescuing dangling teammates, or regaining control when the target makes a break for it.

Destructible environments ensure that failed plans leave a visible mess, with broken walls, shattered windows, and collapsed structures often creating an entirely new route—or ending the run instantly. Four-player co-op is clearly the ideal format, because success depends on communication, quick recoveries, and accepting that somebody will probably fall while trying to save everyone else. Shady Job stands out by making its objective both cargo and enemy, creating a chaotic push-and-pull unlike standard physics platformers. Fans of Human: Fall Flat, Heave Ho, or Lethal Company’s frantic team problem-solving should find plenty to enjoy, particularly if they have a regular group willing to laugh at spectacular failures.
