A hammer-first rampage through a lurid, hand-drawn city gives ANTONBLAST the gleefully reckless energy of a cartoon demolition derby. Dynamite Anton, or his equally unhinged coworker Annie, tears after a stolen Spirit collection while Satan pursues his own absurdly petty quest to become the world’s reddest being. The tone is loud, funny, and aggressively stylish, with graffiti-soaked streets, warped industrial interiors, and characters that look like they escaped a 1990s animation block. Beneath the jokes lies a demanding 2D action platformer built around momentum, destruction, and getting out alive.

Levels ask you to smash through enemies and scenery with the Mighty F’n Hammer, hunt for collectibles, locate the exit trigger, then survive a frantic timed escape once the stage starts coming apart. Anton and Annie move with a weighty, expressive physicality, so successful runs depend on learning when to dash, jump, ground-pound, wall-climb, and turn the environment’s breakable clutter into a shortcut. Players can rush for fast completion times or slow down to uncover hidden routes, extra Spirits, and secrets tucked into the wreckage. Screen-filling bosses interrupt the platforming with loud, pattern-driven fights that reward quick reactions without abandoning the game’s emphasis on raw impact.

Its clearest inspiration is Wario Land, particularly in the way destructive level design and chunky animation make every hit feel substantial, but ANTONBLAST pushes that formula toward faster, more frantic escape sequences. The visual identity stands apart as well: every background, enemy, and effect is packed with exaggerated expressions, dense linework, and a rough urban-cartoon attitude, while the soundtrack keeps the pace feverish. Brulo’s hub and the recurring Happy Hour structure give the campaign a memorable framework rather than making it feel like a simple set of disconnected courses. Anyone who enjoys precision platformers with personality, speedrunning potential, and a willingness to reward reckless experimentation should find plenty to love here, though newcomers should expect a challenge.
