Abyssus

Abyssus is a co-op roguelite FPS set in a sunken kingdom where “brinepunk” technology powers your weapons. You and up to three friends descend into procedurally arranged arenas, facing off against corrupted creatures and massive bosses. The game blends treasure-hunting adventure with underwater horror, but keeps the action fast and responsive. With 64 handcrafted combat spaces, 36 enemy types, and a deep mod system, every run feels fresh.

When you first launch the game, you'll notice the UI is clean but dense – you'll spend time in the hub selecting suits, skills, and weapons before each run. I liked how the game forces you to think about build synergy rather than just picking the highest damage gun. The brine-powered weapons each have unique mechanics, and the mod pool lets you add elemental effects or change behavior. In my experience, combining crowd control with burst damage is key, and the game rewards teams that coordinate roles.
