Cisco investigates a wide range of illustrated environments, searching for useful objects, speaking with fully voiced characters, and piecing together clues that lead closer to Santa. Its point-and-click structure follows the classics: examine scenery, collect items, combine information, and use the right solution in the right place. Mini-games and standalone puzzles break up the exploration, while the game aims for logical challenges instead of the famously obscure item combinations associated with older adventure games. A special companion joins Cisco on the journey, adding personality and guidance as the night's increasingly magical events unfold.

More than 60 hand-drawn backdrops give each area its own seasonal character, from familiar festive spaces to stranger corners of its fairy-tale world. Smooth 2D animation, voice work, and an original score help it feel more polished and cinematic than a bare-bones retro throwback. The one-night structure keeps the adventure focused, making it a good fit for a relaxed holiday-weekend playthrough rather than a huge open-ended commitment.

During our test run, we noticed the dialogue system is genuinely responsive — clicking through conversations feels snappy, and the voice acting loads without the stutter you sometimes get in budget adventure titles. The inventory system is straightforward: select an item, click a hotspot, and the game gives you clear visual feedback when a combination works. That small design choice cuts down on the frustration that plagues older games in this genre.
