A burned-out office worker’s thousandth library purchase becomes a route into a surreal action roguelite where recovering a love of games is the central goal. After falling asleep at the computer, the protagonist wakes in a strange land dominated by a sudden tower, erratic weather, hostile robots, and a deliberately odd supporting cast. Its premise has a playful melancholy beneath the colorful fantasy surface, framing repeated runs as treatment for V.E.D., a fictional condition of gaming exhaustion. The choice to escape this manufactured world or remain within it gives the adventure an appropriately uneasy edge.

Combat moves at a brisk pace, demanding careful blocks, dodges, strikes, and smart positioning rather than mindless attack spam. Players choose from seven playable characters, each bringing their own weapons, action systems, personality, and upgrade routes, so a run can feel radically different depending on the hero selected. Progress revolves around gathering equipment and linking buffs across nine attributes, with more than 150 effects built around interactions instead of simple stat increases. Rather than merely stacking damage percentages, players construct chains that trigger effects in sequence, encouraging experimentation as enemies, encounters, and boss patterns test each build.

Four visually distinct stages provide the route toward 16 major bosses, whose fights put defensive timing and build planning under real pressure. More than 50 equipment pieces add another layer of customization, including concealed properties that can reshape how buffs perform. The strongest idea here is the buff-chain system: it gives the familiar roguelite loop a tactical, almost deck-building flavor without abandoning direct action combat.
