Its story follows the unlikely new hero alongside Elizabeth IV and the Masked Kid, balancing a genuinely mysterious larger plot with playful dialogue and absurd character encounters. The mood sits somewhere between a classic Nintendo-style quest and a comedy where everyone realizes the fantasy script has gone badly wrong.

Combat looks turn-based at first, but every action happens in active time: attacks, blocks, dodges, and special moves depend on reading animations and pressing at the right moment. Enemies remain visible in the world rather than appearing through random encounters, and battles reward rhythm, attention, and resource management instead of simply selecting the strongest command. Between fights, players jump through layered stages, search for secrets, solve environmental puzzles, collect equipment, and improve their combat options through the adventure’s RPG progression.
