Star-Crossed Myth – The Department of Punishments

Reading and choosing dialogue drive the experience, with the story moving through character-focused routes for gods tied to Libra, Scorpio, Aries, Virgo, Gemini, and Pisces. You follow the heroine through lavish celestial encounters, intimate conversations, and emotionally charged turning points as she learns why each god carries his particular sin. The central appeal is not action or complex systems, but the gradual uncovering of personalities, vulnerabilities, and romantic outcomes through a polished visual-novel format. The Steam edition also includes an opening movie and an added adventure element, giving returning readers material beyond the original mobile release.

What stands out is its willingness to frame romance as healing without making its love interests instantly soft or uncomplicated. These are beautiful gods, but they can be distant, frightening, playful, or painfully self-destructive. The character designs and star-themed setting deliver the lavish anime fantasy expected from Voltage’s romance catalog, while the individual routes give you room to seek out a favorite archetype and revisit the story for different emotional flavors. Fans of otome romances such as Code: Realize or the mobile Love 365 stories will feel at home, especially if you prefer reading, relationship drama, and handsome supernatural leads over demanding gameplay. Newcomers can enjoy it as an accessible introduction to route-based visual novels, while genre veterans may appreciate its darker celestial premise and focus on wounded immortals.
