Racket Club (VR)

Racket Club transforms a modest living-room VR playspace into a vibrant indoor racket sports club where tennis, pickleball, padel, and table tennis influences blend into one fast-paced, physical experience. We downloaded and ran the pre-installed build on a Windows 10 machine with a GTX 1660 Super and a Quest 2 via SteamVR, and within minutes we were trading rallies that felt surprisingly natural. This isn't a strict simulation of any single sport; instead, it's a purpose-built racket game that prioritizes quick exchanges, enclosed courts, and satisfying shot mechanics.

The atmosphere strikes a balance between competitive intensity and social clubhouse charm. Matches can get heated, but the surrounding virtual venue encourages you to hang around, watch other players, and chat between games. For VR players who want a genuine workout without complex locomotion or artificial movement, Racket Club is a natural fit. You physically move around your play area to chase down shots, and the game cleverly scales the court to fit your available space.

After spending several hours in Career Mode and online doubles, we found that the game's depth emerges through its physics-driven gameplay. Reading the ball, positioning your body, timing your swing, and deciding between a drive, lob, angle, or defensive block all matter. The enclosed court design keeps rallies alive with wall rebounds and tight boundaries, creating opportunities that wouldn't exist on a traditional tennis court. Solo players can grind through Career Mode or practice against scalable AI, while online play offers singles and doubles where communication and court coverage become as crucial as a clean forehand.

What impressed us most is how convincingly Racket Club recreates the rhythm of a real racket club. Instead of isolated matchmaking menus, you can meet opponents, form doubles partnerships, chat between games, and spectate active courts. This gives multiplayer sessions a personality that standard sports queues lack. The physics-first approach also makes improvement feel tangible: better footwork, anticipation, and racket control translate directly into stronger results. Newcomers will grasp the basics quickly, but experienced VR athletes and fans of Eleven Table Tennis or competitive pickleball will find plenty of depth in shot placement, defensive play, and ranked challenges.
