Proxy Blade Zero

You play as Fenrir, an advanced combat android fighting through the forces of King Anima and his rogue machine army. The setting is a hostile mechanical battleground, but the real hook is its insistence on skill: survival comes from keeping calm when enemies press the attack. Combat revolves around reading opponents, reacting quickly, and turning defense into an opening. Precise parries are essential for stopping incoming attacks and creating room to retaliate, while Fenrir’s boost adds mobility and lets you reposition before a fight turns against you.

Rather than relying on one safe string of attacks, the system encourages inventive combos that link movement, timing, and aggression into effective responses. Each battle becomes a test of awareness, asking you to identify different enemy behaviors, adapt your approach, and improve through repeated attempts instead of expecting easy victories. In my experience, the first few encounters are brutal until you internalize the parry timing—once you do, the flow becomes almost rhythmic.
