The premise sounds almost too simple: one character directs another, which directs another again, creating a nested chain of tiny beings whose actions echo across the level. That idea turns into a deliberately frustrating brain-teaser as the strange thumb-like creatures attempt to reach goals that no individual layer can solve alone. The mood is playful and absurd rather than oppressive, but the puzzles enjoy making players question who is really in charge.

Each level asks you to manipulate the chain of characters by using Ctrl at the right moments, changing how the different layers respond and interact with obstacles. Success comes from observing cause and effect across the stacked perspectives: moving one figure may reposition another, activate a route, or leave a later layer trapped. The campaign is short, with four levels, but its increasing complexity encourages experimentation rather than reflexes. There is no combat grind, open-world wandering, or elaborate upgrade tree; the challenge lies in understanding the rules, recognizing the trick behind a room, and executing the solution cleanly.

Its standout feature is the Inception-like control concept, which makes an ordinary input feel like a puzzle box with several moving parts. The visual presentation supports the joke well, using bizarre thumb creatures and clear, uncluttered spaces that keep attention on the logic of each challenge. Originating from a game jam built around the idea of losing control, it has the focused, inventive energy of games such as Baba Is You, Superliminal, or the cleverer one-screen Flash puzzlers, though it is far shorter and more direct than any of them. Press Ctrl suits players who enjoy compact, high-concept indie puzzles and do not mind getting stuck on a solution that seems obvious only after they finally see it.
