Game Overview
A routine delivery assignment turns into a claustrophobic first-person FMV thriller where every corridor, camera, and locked door signals that something is deeply wrong. You play Zhang Cheng, an office worker lured to a sealed suburban facility by the promise of easy money and a permanent job, only to find eight kidnapped women held in electrified cages. The tone is tense, bleak, and deliberately uncomfortable, leaning hard into surveillance-state paranoia and the pressure of being watched by an unseen controller. Rather than positioning you as an unstoppable hero, it makes you an ordinary man trapped inside a system that expects obedience.
Most of the experience unfolds through live-action scenes, conversations, inspections, and decisions made during four increasingly dangerous days inside the prison-like compound. Zhang Cheng follows orders by delivering food and recording measurements, but paying attention to the captives’ stories reveals motives, vulnerabilities, and possible ways to resist. Choices shape trust with each woman and determine how far Zhang is willing to go when escaping means concealing only one person in a food cart. The central loop is less about action combat than reading people, judging risks, uncovering the facility’s rules, and living with consequences that can affect both the prisoners and Zhang himself.
Inner Scales 1:Choice stands out through its contained setting and its focus on moral triage rather than simple good-versus-evil branching. Each captive has a distinct background—from a frightened student and indebted nurse to a guarded executive and desperate single mother—so decisions are designed to feel personal instead of purely strategic. Its FMV format gives scenes an immediate, theatrical quality, although players should expect a story-driven interactive drama rather than free-roaming exploration or mechanical depth. Fans of choice-heavy titles such as The Complex, Late Shift, or The Dark Pictures Anthology’s dialogue-driven moments should find its pressure-cooker structure compelling, especially if they enjoy revisiting routes to see how different loyalties and sacrifices reshape the outcome.
