What makes Hexrogue engaging is the constant push and pull between immediate survival and long-term infrastructure. Building too greedily can leave weak points in your defenses, but focusing only on combat risks starving your crafting and expansion; the best runs find a smart rhythm between both. Random maps, gear drops, enemy encounters, and Perk selections give it strong replay value, while coins earned even in failed attempts can purchase persistent power-ups for future attempts.
