Ghostwriter Workshop places you in the capital of Ede, within the republic of Wilsbury, where clients arrive with requests ranging from romance and apologies to contracts and formal challenges. Its premise is delightfully simple: you know what a letter ought to say, but an impulsive roulette mechanic determines how each message closes. The result is a light, cute pixel-art adventure where sincere love notes can become insults and a routine apology can somehow make every problem worse.

Work begins by hearing out each client, understanding the tone they need, and assembling the right vocabulary for their request. From the second episode onward, you leave the shop to wander around town, talk with its eleven eccentric residents, and collect expressions that may—or may not—prove useful in your next piece of correspondence. Letter writing is intentionally constrained: rather than freely selecting every line, you spin roulette for the crucial final wording, then deal with the comic fallout when an unsuitable phrase slips into your character’s memory. Progress comes through five compact episodes, each lasting roughly 15 to 30 minutes, with an escalating cast of situations and an ever-growing pool of words to muddle through.

What makes Ghostwriter Workshop memorable is its willingness to turn limited player control into the joke rather than a frustration.
