Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition

Dying Light 2 drops you into a decaying European metropolis that becomes a vertical playground by day and a nocturnal death trap after sunset. You play as Aiden Caldwell, a Pilgrim with a mysterious past, navigating a city torn apart by rival factions. The core loop is simple: scavenge, craft, fight, and parkour your way across rooftops, abandoned stores, and makeshift safe zones. The parkour system is the heart of the game, and it feels incredibly fluid. You can sprint across rooftops, vault obstacles, climb ledges, swing from ropes, and eventually use a paraglider to reach distant districts. It's reminiscent of Mirror's Edge but with a brutal zombie twist.

Combat is weighty and requires constant movement. You'll craft weapons, set traps, and use kicks and dodges to survive encounters with infected and human enemies. The upgrade system lets you tailor Aiden's abilities to your playstyle, whether you prefer stealth, combat, or traversal. Scavenging for supplies is essential for crafting healing items, weapon mods, and tools for nighttime expeditions into dangerous interiors.

One of the standout features is the dynamic day/night cycle. By day, the city is relatively safe, but at night, the infected become more aggressive and numerous, turning even a short trip into a tense escape. This mechanic forces you to plan your excursions carefully, adding a layer of strategy to the open world.

The story is driven by major choices that affect faction control and alter the city's infrastructure. These choices lead to different mission outcomes, giving the game replayability. Up to four players can team up in co-op, which we found to be a blast when coordinating parkour routes and taking down hordes together.
