Demonic Mahjong

Demonic Mahjong takes the familiar table game and rewires it into a run-based strategy experience. The core loop is simple to describe and hard to put down: form valid hands, generate points, clear demanding score targets, and eventually topple a boss. What changes everything is the layer of modifiers sitting on top. Spirits alter rules, relics bend probability, and a hand that looks safe on paper can suddenly explode into a devastating combo.

After downloading and running v0.2.35, our team found that standard Mahjong knowledge gives you a real head start, but it will not carry you through a full run. The game constantly asks you to adapt. Altered tile types and tile-bound spirits add effects that reward specific suits, patterns, discards, or scoring conditions. You are not just playing Mahjong anymore. You are building an engine.

Between rounds, you collect relics for lasting passive bonuses, choose offerings that manipulate draws and hands, and recruit supernatural allies that can radically reshape your strategy. One build might lean on reliable conventional hands. Another chases volatile luck manipulation, enhanced tiles, or a single enormous scoring engine. In my experience, the best runs come from committing early and then pivoting hard when a relic changes the math.
